Privacy Policy
Plain-English answers about what HighwaySoul collects, why we collect it, and how you stay in control. Last updated May 28, 2026.
Your Privacy on the Road
HighwaySoul collects only what it needs to verify CDL drivers, match you by route, and keep romance scammers off the platform. We never sell your data, never share your home address with other members, and never tell your dispatcher you are on a dating site. You can download or delete your account at any time from your account settings.
This policy explains how HighwaySoul ("we," "us," "our") handles your personal information when you use our trucker dating site at senior-dating-sites.info and our related services. It applies to CDL drivers, owner-operators, Co-Pilot admirer members, and anyone who simply browses the public pages of the site. If you have questions after reading it, the contact page lists every way to reach us.
What Information We Collect
We collect three categories of information, and we try to keep each one as small as the feature it powers.
Information you give us directly
- Account basics: email address, date of birth (to confirm you are 18+), display name, and password (always stored hashed).
- Profile details: photos, bio, CDL class, driver type (OTR, regional, local, owner-operator, Co-Pilot), home base ZIP, and the lanes you run.
- Verification documents: a scan of your CDL or government-issued ID. We confirm the name and license number, then delete the image within 30 days. Only the verified-badge status is kept after that.
- Messages and voice notes: the content you send to other members, stored so the recipient can read it and so we can investigate abuse reports.
Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device model, operating system, and crash reports.
- Approximate location: derived from IP or, with your permission, GPS rounded to the nearest 10 miles. We never show your exact pin to other members.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and timestamps - used to improve match quality and detect scam patterns.
Information from third parties
- Payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google) share confirmation that a subscription was paid. We never see your full card number.
- ID verification partners return a pass/fail signal on your CDL upload. The raw document is not retained by them either.
How We Use Your Information
Every data point on HighwaySoul earns its place. Here is exactly what we do with what we collect.
| Purpose | What we use | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Run your account and matches | Profile, location, lanes | Contract |
| CDL verification badge | License scan (30 days) | Legitimate interest |
| Prevent fraud and romance scams | IP, device data, message patterns | Legitimate interest |
| Process subscription payments | Email, transaction ID | Contract |
| Send service emails | Email address | Contract |
| Send marketing emails | Email address, preferences | Consent (opt-in) |
| Comply with U.S. law | Whatever a valid subpoena requires | Legal obligation |
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, share your data with employers or carriers, or build advertising profiles that follow you across the internet.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
HighwaySoul uses essential cookies to keep you signed in, analytics cookies to understand which features drivers actually use, and a small set of marketing cookies for members who opt in. You can accept, reject, or fine-tune each category from the cookie banner on your first visit and from your account settings anytime after.
For a full breakdown of every cookie we set, including third-party services and how long each one lives, read the HighwaySoul Cookie Policy.
Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA
Whether you are a U.S. resident protected by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or an international member covered by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), HighwaySoul honors the same core rights for everyone.
- Right to access - download a copy of everything we hold about you in a portable JSON file.
- Right to correct - fix anything inaccurate from your profile or by emailing our team.
- Right to delete - wipe your account and all linked content. We honor requests within 30 days.
- Right to opt out - turn off marketing emails, analytics cookies, or location features at any time.
- Right to portability - receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to non-discrimination - exercising any of these rights will never get your subscription downgraded.
- Right to lodge a complaint - with your local data protection authority, the FTC, or the California Attorney General.
To exercise any right, email [email protected] or use the in-app "Manage My Data" button under Settings → Privacy. We respond inside 30 days and will never ask you to pay for a privacy request.
When We Share Your Data
The short answer is "almost never." The longer answer covers four narrow situations.
With other members
Your profile name, age range, approximate city, driver type, status, and the photos you uploaded are visible to other signed-in members. Your exact location, email, phone, and CDL number are never shown.
With service providers
We use vetted vendors for hosting (AWS, U.S. region), payments (Stripe, Apple, Google), ID verification, transactional email, and abuse monitoring. Each one signs a data-processing agreement and may only use your data to deliver their slice of the service.
With law enforcement
We disclose data only when we receive a valid U.S. legal request and only the minimum required. We publish aggregate numbers in an annual transparency report.
In a business transfer
If HighwaySoul is ever acquired, your data moves with the service under the same privacy commitments, and you will be notified at least 30 days in advance.
How We Protect Your Information
Security is not a feature we tacked on. It is the only reason a verified-CDL community works in the first place.
Our security baseline
TLS 1.3 in transit. AES-256 at rest. Bcrypt password hashing. SOC 2 Type II hosting. Quarterly third-party penetration tests. 24/7 abuse and scam monitoring. Two-factor authentication available on every account at no charge.
No internet service is 100% secure, so we also operate a coordinated disclosure program. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, email [email protected]. We respond within 48 hours, do not pursue legal action against good-faith researchers, and credit you publicly if you want it.
Members can add an extra layer of protection by following the rules in our Safety Tips guide - especially the "never send money" rule that prevents nearly every romance scam.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Active account data
Held for as long as your account is open, plus 30 days after deletion to handle billing reversals and abuse appeals.
CDL verification scans
Deleted from our systems and from our verification partner within 30 days of upload. Only the pass/fail badge survives.
Messages and voice notes
Retained while both accounts are active. Deleted within 30 days when either party deletes the account, except where a pending abuse investigation requires preservation.
Payment records
Kept for seven years to satisfy U.S. tax and accounting law. Only transaction metadata - no card numbers.
Changes to This Policy
We update this Privacy Policy when our practices change or when new laws require it. Material changes get an email to your registered address and an in-app banner at least 30 days before they take effect. Minor edits - fixing a typo, clarifying a sentence - are published with a revised "Last updated" date and noted in the changelog at the bottom of the policy. Your continued use of HighwaySoul after a change means you accept the updated policy. If you disagree, you can delete your account at any time without penalty.
